Ok(-pop), what’s next?
Decision overload, can’t compute
Hey y’all,
TL;DR: I miss having 2-3 things to do and cannot decide on which solo album to review next. Suggestions are appreciated.
Yes, it’s been weeks and I owe y’all Taemin’s conclusion. I’ve been in a silo of sorts, working through some unrelated projects and preparing for an exam in wine I’m sure to fail next week. (That’s not pessimism, I legit haven’t had the tastebuds and time to study.)
I’ve been clicking around (mostly) quietly on other platforms, blogs, Substacks and publications and seeing the conversations shift from what K-pop is/isn’t to how its simply part of global pop culture and maybe losing its phenomenological clutches.
I seem to go to Kdramas when it feels like the music is overwhelming, but when everything feels overwhelming, I listen to little to nothing. It’s been a damn-noisy past few months.
I can’t make a decision at this point, so would you be kind and suggest a solo album I need to review? I know Taeyong hit us with a project.. Taeyang, too. I’m unsure if Krystal Jung dropped a single or an LP/mini album… again, just solo acts, please. Full group work goes on the podcast.
And I’m getting back to that, I truly am. I won’t continue to explain cognitive decline with chronic illness more than I have before… so your help is appreciated.
Who should I listen to first? Drop a comment!
